Mountain views and country club life in Vegas, undiscovered
Rolling green golf course hills, views of the Sloan Canyon Reserve in the distance, and a more quiet pace of life await in Anthem. Southeast of the neverending nights on the Las Vegas Strip, Anthem offers a glimpse into the unknown and often overlooked side of Vegas. While locals benefit from living in one of the world’s leading hospitality and entertainment epicenters, they also enjoy outdoor recreation, country clubs, friendly neighbors, and live in some of the city’s most beautiful Mediterranean-inspired homes.
Anthem first began welcoming residents in 1998. In the following years, it was one of the top-selling communities in the United States. A plethora of culinary options, office space, and the surprising aura of the community has continued to fuel Anthem’s popularity with Nevada’s upper class, with the area now averaging one of the higher household incomes of the Las Vegas Valley.
Families, working professionals, and retirees have all found solace in Anthem. Lush, green golf courses, and mountains make for scenic views, something not often associated with Las Vegas. The more quiet and undiscovered side of “Sin City” is home to highly rated schools, gorgeous country clubs, and several nearby mountain ranges and hiking trails. If a festive night out on the town is in order, the Las Vegas Strip is only ten miles away and Harry Reid International Airport is even closer, making last-minute weekend getaways simple.
International flavors, Instagrammable walls, elevated American classics, and more can all be found without straying too far from home. Trips to interior Vegas aren’t necessary when some of the city’s best-ranked dining establishments are located right in your own backyard.
I Love Sushi is a neighborhood favorite for Japanese favorites and a few new creations. An unsuspecting spot features a spacious interior, a long menu with hundreds of creative offerings, and truly does offer something for everyone.
Nearby, steak, seafood, and pasta inspired by the flavors of Italy can be found at Tuscany Grill. While the lunch and dinner options are delicious, patrons of Tuscany Grill have raved over their desserts. Homemade cheesecake, caramel ice cream pie, and tiramisu are a few of their homemade favorites acting as the perfect cherry on top of any meal.
No place in Anthem is more Instagram-worthy than Cafe Lola. With walls adorned with pink flowers, neon signs, pink phone booths, and splashes of rosy hues in every which direction, the food almost takes a back seat to the decor. However, it fits perfectly in with the theme. Pastries with decadent toppings, latte art, and bubbly rosé is a way of life where everything is enjoyed through rose-colored glasses.
Anthem is home to many country clubs with delectable on-site entertainment and dining options. Bucksman Grill within the Revere Golf Club overlooks the club’s championship 18-hole course and the Las Vegas Strip, where diners feast on lamb, crabcakes, and apple pie a la mode with a view.
As previously mentioned, afternoons at the country club are popular ways to spend free time in Anthem, thanks to a plethora of local options. The Anthem Country Club is one of Las Vegas’ premier golfing destinations, also offering racquet sports, aquatic facilities, fitness programs, exquisite dining, and many other membership benefits. A public club is available at the Rio Secco Golf Course. Opened in 1997, visitors to this course enjoy stunning views from an 18-hole course and can look forward to dinner and drinks afterward at the onsite bar and grill. Another fascinating attraction in Anthem can be found at Lion Habitat Ranch. This non-profit sanctuary is home to almost 50 lions, giraffes, and offers feeding experiences for visitors wanting to get up close and personal to some of MGM’s former stars.
Anthem is home to high-performing public schools, such as:
